Job summary

GEOTECHNICAL ALLIANCE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Junior Tender Engineer to support the tender team in daily activities in Malaysia. The role involves preparing tender submissions, reviewing documents, and performing basic quantity take-offs under supervision.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and may have 1–2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook is required; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in construction, piling, foundation, tendering, or estimation is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with piling, foundation or civil works preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; AutoCAD is a plus.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and eager to learn.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to meet tight deadlines when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Tender Team in preparing tender and quotation submissions.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications under supervision.
• Perform simple quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings.
• Request and collect quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare comparison sheets and supporting tender documents.
• Maintain and organize tender records and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information for tender submissions.
• Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors on quotations and technical information.
• Assist in site visits and tender briefings when required.
• Support the team in other tender-related admin and technical tasks.
