Job summary

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tender and Bidding Engineer role based in Malaysia. The Tender and Bidding Engineer prepares and coordinates tender documents, including technical proposals, cost estimates, and supporting materials in line with client requirements and company standards. Typical day-to-day tasks include analyzing tender specifications, gathering and verifying technical and commercial inputs from internal teams, and ensuring that submissions are complete, compliant, and competitive. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, project management, procurement, and sales teams to structure bids, clarify technical solutions, and respond to queries. The Tender and Bidding Engineer also supports bid review meetings, tracks tender status, and contributes to continuous improvement of bidding processes and documentation templates.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in engineering or ICT-related fields, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and system requirements.
• Experience in tender preparation, bidding processes, or project proposals for infrastructure, transportation, healthcare, or mechanical & electrical projects.
• Proficiency in document preparation, including clear technical writing, editing, and formatting of proposals and tender documentation.
• Solid analytical and numerical skills for cost estimation, pricing, and comparison of technical and commercial options.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
• Familiarity with local tender regulations, procurement practices, and industry standards in Malaysia is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ICT, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications or tender management experience are beneficial.
