Job summary

Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an Executive to maintain and support its technology ecosystem, ensuring high availability of business applications and IT systems. You will handle maintenance, upgrades, reports, and user requests while aligning with business requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT, experience in application development and support, and familiarity with ITIL processes. Willingness to work outside normal hours is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in application development and support, Enterprise System Support or a related IT environment.
• Exposure to programming languages and database systems.
• Knowledge of applications, desktop environments, networking and Microsoft servers.
• Familiarity with ITIL Service Desk; ITIL certification would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain business applications to ensure optimum performance and availability.
• Perform planned and corrective application maintenance.
• Support system enhancements, upgrades and application development based on business requirements.
• Develop reports, tools and data extracts based on user requirements.
• Manage user requests and provide suitable IT solutions.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and application change management.
• Participate in IT/application projects from implementation through handover.
• Manage application user accounts and access.
• Provide Service Desk and application support, including troubleshooting and resolution within agreed service levels.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, information security and relevant procedures.
