Job summary

Port of Tanjung Pelepas is seeking an Executive, Technology Ecosystem Maintenance & Support to ensure steady operation of business applications and IT systems. You will monitor performance, perform maintenance, and assist with enhancements and deployments across platforms.

The role requires a degree in Computer Science/IT and experience in application development and support, plus familiarity with ITIL concepts and strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Experience in application development and support.
• Exposure to programming languages and database systems.
• Knowledge of applications, desktop environments, networking and Microsoft servers.
• Familiarity with ITIL Service Desk; ITIL certification is a plus.
• Good communication, troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Able to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willing to support outside normal hours or shifts when required.

About the Role

We are looking for an Executive, Technology Ecosystem Maintenance & Support to support the availability, maintenance and continuous improvement of PTP's business applications and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain business applications to ensure optimum performance and availability.
• Perform planned and corrective application maintenance.
• Support system enhancements, upgrades and application development based on business requirements.
• Develop reports, tools and data extracts based on user requirements.
• Manage user requests and provide suitable IT solutions.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and application change management.
• Participate in IT/application projects from implementation through handover.
• Manage application user accounts and access.
• Provide Service Desk and application support, including troubleshooting and resolution within agreed service levels.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, information security and relevant procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in application development and support, Enterprise System Support or a related IT environment.
• Exposure to programming languages and database systems.
• Knowledge of applications, desktop environments, networking and Microsoft servers.
• Familiarity with ITIL Service Desk; ITIL certification would be an added advantage.
