Job summary

Job description

JM Auto Gallery Sdn Bhd is looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our Mitsubishi Motors team. The successful candidate will be responsible for vehicle servicing, repairs, fault diagnosis, and ensuring all work meets Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia's recommended standards.

Responsibilities

Carry out repair and service of vehicles according to recommended repair and service standards set up by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia.

Diagnose and detect mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment.

Installation of basic accessories.

Maintain good house-keeping of the workplace and up keep of the workshop hand-tools & special tools.

Ensure repair and service jobs are performed within time frame (promise time) indicated in Repair Order (RO) to ensure timely completion of repairs and delivery to customer.

Comply with all workshop safety standards for protections against accidents, hazardous fluid etc., including performing regular hoist inspection as per requirements and proper disposal of hazardous materials as per guidelines provided by Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).

Skills Required as a Service Technician

Knowledge of procedures of automotive repair and maintenance

Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Able to use independent judgment to fix or proffer solution(s) to problem(s) in real time

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Contributes fully to the team effort and plays an integral part in the smooth running of workshop operations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

Educated and/or certified: at least a Higher Secondary, Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 1/2/3, Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent

Preferably specializing in Engineering – Mechanical / Automotive or equivalent

Valid driving license

At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field

Require good communication skills with a professional attitude and able to work closely with workshop technician

Fresh graduate from automotive engineering is welcome
