Job summary

Integer is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Penang, Malaysia to support manufacturing equipment and systems. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, timely servicing, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include documenting issues, coordinating with contractors, and following schedules for waste handling and housekeeping. Strong communication and 3+ years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in a Maintenance Technician role at a manufacturing facility.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance per schedule to reduce downtime.
• Perform unscheduled servicing when problems are discovered.
• Apply 5S to keep the work area clean and well organized.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance issues and repairs.
• Handle non-hazardous waste per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for routine maintenance items.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed and the area remains tidy.
• Perform other duties as required.

Conduct preventive maintenance per the schedule for all equipment assigned, to reduce downtime and prevent failures.

Perform unscheduled servicing of equipment after a problem is discovered.

Employ the strategies of 5S in order to maintain an efficient work area, clean, well ordered and maintaining the right types and amounts of spare parts.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance issues on all equipment.

Follow the proper methods and procedures for the handling of non-hazardous waste in the plant and removal waste from the plant.

Deal with outside contractors for routine maintenance items/service contracts when necessary.

Ensure cleaning schedules are adhered per maintenance items/ service contracts when necessary.

Keep work area clean.

Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Education

At least a Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.

Minimum Experience

At least 3 years in a Maintenance Technician position at a manufacturing facility, responsible for maintaining equipment and systems.

Knowledge & Skills :

Special Skills:

Able to use all the tools necessary to conduct the work involved with maintaining company equipment and building system.

Able to use the computer, specifically spreadsheets, word processing and data base programs as well as experience with PM systems.

Special Knowledge:

Able to give and follow instructions, both written and verbal.

Effectively communicate with all levels of employees, as well as outside contractors.

Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities with many time constraints.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, bend and twist.
