Job summary

StiFlex Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to install, repair, and maintain machinery through preventive maintenance. You will diagnose issues by observing equipment in operation and dismantle machinery to replace defective parts.

• Must hold a certificate or diploma in a related field.
• Industrial maintenance experience is required; breakdown experience preferred.
• Thorough working knowledge of industrial equipment, its usage, and safety procedures.
• Self-motivated, responsible and safety oriented individual.
• Learn and apply standard tools and techniques to solve problems.
• Demonstrates a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Takes responsibility for self-performance (Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently).
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results and meeting expectations.

Job description

Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.

Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.

Dismantle machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.

Determine changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.

Maintain inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.

Provide internal training to production workers on routine preventive maintenance.

Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. (Downtime)

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. (DOSH/JKKP)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship program is a plus.
