Job summary

Better Power (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a technically capable M&E technician to perform installation, maintenance, inspection and repair works at project sites. You will assist in electrical systems and mechanical installations, with a focus on safety and quality. The role involves reading drawings, testing equipment, and documenting maintenance activities.

• Minimum SPM, SKM or Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a related technical field.
• Able to understand basic technical drawings and use relevant tools and testing equipment.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites when required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, disciplined, safety-conscious and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair works at project sites.
• Assist in the installation, servicing and troubleshooting of electrical systems, including cables, wiring, distribution boards, switchgear and electrical equipment
• Assist in mechanical works involving pumps, motors, piping systems, HVAC equipment and other mechanical installations, as assigned
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Assist engineers and supervisors in testing and commissioning activities in accordance with project specifications and approved procedures
• Identify equipment faults, troubleshoot technical issues and report findings to the immediate supervisor
• Read and follow approved drawings, technical specifications, installation instructions and work procedures
• Ensure all tools, equipment and materials are properly handled, maintained and stored after use
• Complete daily work reports, inspection checklists, maintenance records and other required documentation
• Comply with company policies, site safety requirements, permit-to-work procedures and applicable safety regulations

About you
