Job summary

KPJ Healthcare in Johor, Malaysia seeks an IT Support professional to ensure stability of PACS systems (HITS, KCIS, INFINITT), perform hardware setup and maintenance, and uphold IT security standards. The role includes inventory management, data backup, and collaboration with IT suppliers.

Diploma in IT or related field is required. Responsibilities include electrical safety checks, software deployment, and assisting with network devices and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability and reliability of HITS, KCIS, EMRA, and INFINITT PACS.
• Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
• Key in and update the inventory list in the Equipment Masterlist System.
• Ensure computers and hardware configurations meet IT Security audit requirements.
• Implement cybersecurity measures and monitor security across devices (Anti-Virus and AD domain).
• Advise staff of security breaches and password or security status changes.
• Identify hardware for disposal and ensure secure disposal.
• Setup, installation and relocation of desktop PCs, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Load required software and replace parts as needed.
• Assist with IT hardware like WiFi access points, switches, tablets, modems.
• Backup user data on servers.
• Handle network, hardware and software upgrades, failures, repairs, and replacements with IT supplier support.

Job description

• Ensure the database HITS, KCIS, EMRA and INFINITT PACS stability and reliability.
• Ensure the HITS, KCIS and INFINITT PACS system running in a good condition.
• Conducting electrical safety checks on computer equipment
• Key in and update the inventory list in the Equipment Masterlist System.
• Ensure computers and hardware configuration followed IT Security audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with healthcare IT regulations and data privacy laws.
• Implement cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols. Monitor security of all technology (Anti-Virus and Active Directory domain control)
• Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status
• Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate and ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal
• Arrange, maintain and monitor LCD and Notebook usage for internal and external training or seminar.
• Ensure the PA system is in good condition.
• Ensure proper setup, installation and relocation of desktop pc, laptop, printer and other peripherals
• Replacing parts as required and load all required software
• Assisting other IT-related hardware such as WIFI Access points, network switches, tablets and modems
• Backup user’s computer and server data.
• Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
• Handling of all network, hardware and software upgrades, failures, repairs and replacements internally and with our IT supplier
