Job summary

Advanced Energy Management Limited in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a Technician III - Industrial Engineering to assist engineers in developing efficient systems that integrate materials, energy, information, personnel, and machinery.

You will engage in time studies, update site and project layouts, perform takt time analysis, and support line relocation, installation, and setup while applying 5S principles and monitoring KPIs to drive production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years related experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Time Study: Assist in the preparation of time studies and time estimation.
• Layout: Update site and project layouts as directed by engineers, managers and directors.
• Takt Time Analysis: Assist in takt time analysis and calculations.
• Project Management: Support line relocation, installation and setup.
• Workstation and tool maintenance: Support installation, maintenance and modification.
• 5S Implementation: Apply 5S to support line setup and tool management.
• KPI Management: Support KPIs related to production efficiency and improvement actions.

Title: Technician III - Industrial Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial Engineering Technician will assists the Engineers in developing efficient systems that integrate materials, energy, information, personnel, and machinery. They engage in statistical production studies and time assessments, as well as prepare and update the site and project layouts under the guidance of the industrial engineer and/or manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Time Study : Assist in the preparation of time studies and time estimation.
• Layout: Update the site layout and project layouts, as directed by industrial engineer, manager and director.
• Takt Time Analysis: Assist in the preparation of takt time analysis and calculations.
• Project Management: Support on the line relocation, installation and setup.
• Workstation, rack, trolley and small tools maintenance: To support production workstation, rack, trolley & tools installation, maintenance and modification.
• 5S Implementation: Apply 5S principles to support line setup wire management and floor tape management while performing line setup and tools installation.
• KPI Management: Support key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
• Other duties assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.
• Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand .

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of line setup, wire management, workstation and trolley design.
• Knowledge of b asic e nglish ability, reading ability is preferred.
• Ability to perform time studies and time estimation.
• Ability to work independently and ability to be creative.
• Ability to exercise good judgment to resolve problems.
• Good computational and technical skills.
• Good communication ability and team work.
• Software tools required: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD .

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five (5) years related experience.

EDUCATION:

• Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
