Job summary

Foil Laminate Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an extrusion/lamination operator to set up and run production lines, monitor process parameters, and perform routine maintenance to ensure product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in extrusion or lamination manufacturing.
• Knowledge of extrusion materials, particularly PP, PE, and related resins.
• Able to operate digital measuring instruments and manufacturing gauges.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, production reporting).
• Ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking colleagues is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Job description

Set up and operate extrusion/lamination machines according to production requirements.

Monitor machine parameters (temperature, pressure, speed) to ensure smooth production and product quality.

Perform routine machine cleaning, basic maintenance, and minor troubleshooting.

Conduct product quality inspections and report any defects or abnormalities.

Record production data and maintain accurate machine and maintenance records.

Comply with company SOPs, Quality, and Safety requirements, including the proper use of PPE.

Coordinate with the Maintenance team during machine breakdowns or major repairs.

Assist in controlling machine spare parts and support continuous improvement activities.

Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Academic Qualification

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.

Experience & Knowledge

Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in extrusion or lamination manufacturing.

Good knowledge of extrusion materials, particularly PP, PE, and related resin materials.

Familiar with manufacturing processes, machine operations, and production quality requirements.

Able to operate digital measuring instruments and manufacturing gauges.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and production reporting).

Ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers, suppliers, or colleagues is an added advantage.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
