Job summary

Safran Landing Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Technician to support manufacturing operations in Malaysia. The role involves loading/unloading furnaces, material handling for traceability, and monitoring equipment to document the process.

You will troubleshoot production issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure housekeeping standards are met. Training will cover safety, quality, and lean manufacturing principles. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

Experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics is preferred.
Familiarity with lean principles (TPM, 5S) is advantageous.
Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

Responsibilities

Load and unload furnaces per production and quality requirements.
Handle materials to ensure traceability for quality and scheduling.
Monitor equipment and record data to document the process.
Troubleshoot manufacturing anomalies related to equipment operation, productivity, and quality.
Perform preventive maintenance to meet schedules.
Maintain housekeeping in manufacturing areas.
Submit and support continuous improvement ideas for safety, quality and cost.
Follow safety, quality, process, and facilities procedures.

Job description

Load and unload furnaces per production and quality requirements

Proper and efficient material handling to ensure product traceability to meet quality and scheduling demands

Monitor equipment and record data to document the manufacturing process

Troubleshoot manufacturing anomalies related to equipment operation, productivity, and quality

Perform preventive maintenance as required to meet maintenance schedules

Adhere to required housekeeping requirements for the manufacturing areas

Submit and support continuous improvement ideas in order to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost

Follow all procedures administered by safety, quality, process engineering, and facilities engineering

Train co-workers in proper equipment operations and maintenance procedures

Adhere and actively participate in occupational Safety, Health and Environmental; and Energy policies, procedures and activities such as I-See I-Act, GPI, low carbon initiative, etc.

Adhere and comply with Business Ethics, Anti-Corruption, Flight Safety Management System, and others relevant policies, procedures and activities

Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), or equivalent. Degree holder will also be considered.

Able to communicate in spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in using electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics

Basic understanding of Statistical Processing Control. Training in various principles of lean, i.e. lean manufacturing, TPM, 5S preferred

Candidates must able to work long hours and during weekends and public holidays.
