Job summary

Globetronics Technology Berhad in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking a hands-on Technician for AOI, Ionox Cleaning, Underfill, and PCB Mounter operations; you will support daily production, perform machine setup, monitor processes, and troubleshoot equipment.

The role requires a technical qualification and 1–3 years' experience in semiconductor/electronics manufacturing; shift-based environment; you will work with Production, Engineering, QA to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Technical qualification in Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with AOI, Ionox Cleaning, Baking, Underfill, Cure, or PCB Mounter processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor AOI equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Perform Ionox Cleaning according to work instructions and process specifications.
• Carry out Baking, Underfill, and Cure processes, including machine setup and parameter verification.
• Operate and set up PCB Mounter equipment for production activities.
• Perform machine setup, product changeover, parameter adjustment, and first-piece verification.
• Monitor process conditions and identify abnormalities during production.
• Conduct in-process inspection and ensure products meet quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and escalate major problems to Engineers or Equipment Technicians.
• Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Support engineering trials, process improvement, new product introduction, and qualification activities.
• Maintain accurate production, process, and equipment records.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Equipment, and QA teams to resolve process and quality issues.
• Follow company requirements for ESD, safety, 5S, cleanroom practices, and quality control.

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Technician with experience in semiconductor manufacturing and assembly processes, particularly AOI, Ionox Cleaning, Baking, Underfill, Cure, and PCB Mounter operations. The successful candidate will support daily production, machine operation, process monitoring, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to ensure stable production and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Perform Ionox Cleaning processes according to approved work instructions and process specifications.

• AOI
• Ionox Cleaning
• Baking
• Underfill
• Cure
• PCB Mounter
• Able to operate production equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Able to understand work instructions, process specifications, and machine parameters.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

• Semiconductor assembly and manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Underfill and Cure processes.
• Experience operating AOI and PCB Mounter equipment.
• Familiarity with process control and quality inspection.
• Basic preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting skills.
• Good teamwork, communication, and discipline.
