Job summary

Recharge Xolutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled Technician to join our team for EV charger installations across various locations. You will lead installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair tasks with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

The role requires hands-on EV charger installation experience and related civil work, along with strong time management and excellent customer service to communicate progress and outcomes to clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and commissioning EV chargers.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• PW4 certification preferred.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will play a key role in providing technical expertise, leading a team, and ensuring the efficient execution of installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair tasks for EV chargers at various locations. The role requires a reliable individual with strong time management and customer service skills. The technician should have hands-on experience with EV charger installations and associated civil work.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Commissioning:

Install EV chargers at residential, commercial, and public locations.

Perform testing and commissioning of EV chargers to ensure proper functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.

Manage installation materials and inventory to ensure proper project management.

Customer Interaction:

Communicate effectively with customers to understand their requirements and provide installation updates.

Provide clear instructions and guidance to customers on the use of installed EV chargers.

Address any customer concerns or questions professionally.

Technical Skills and Technical Documentation:

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of different types of EV chargers and their specifications.

Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on installed EV chargers.

Stay updated with the latest industry standards and technologies related to EV charging.

Perform troubleshooting for any malfunctions or issues with the EV chargers.

Write detailed countermeasure reports following troubleshooting and repair tasks.

Submit documentation related to installation work in time.

Perform necessary civil work, including cutting ceilings, wall hacking, concealing cables and laying cables with PVC pipes or casing.

Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations.

Coordinate with other contractors and service providers as needed.

Time Management:

Manage installation schedules efficiently to meet deadlines and minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate records of installations, including time spent and materials.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during installations.

Ensure installations comply with relevant electrical and building codes.

Report any safety hazards or incidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.

Troubleshooting and Reporting:

Perform in-depth troubleshooting for any technical issues during and after installations.

Document all troubleshooting steps and solutions in detailed countermeasure reports.

Share countermeasure reports with the team and management for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Proven experience in installing and commissioning EV chargers.

Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.

Experience with civil work, including cutting ceilings, wall hacking, concealing cables and cable laying.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Relevant certifications or licenses in electrical work (PW4 preferred).

Proficiency in using relevant tools, equipment, and software.
