Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a skilled technician to perform repairs and maintenance on Volvo Construction Equipment machines at workshop and on customer sites in Malaysia, including Kuantan. The role requires reading blueprints, safety awareness, and independent work with strong customer contact.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary/ STPM/ A Level/ Pre-U/Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• At least two years’ work experience in the related field.
• Obtain valid driving license.
• Able to read and write simple English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good work attitude, team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform all services and repairs on Volvo CE machines, in workshops and job site.
• Work safely and use safety practices and be responsible for OJT safety.
• Complete all job cards, report and claim after each job.
• Maintain clean work area and field vehicle, tools, equipment.
• Maintain proper job documentation, working records for time, parts, supplies and ensure records are kept properly.
• Active participation in training.
• Report additional work on machines and inform supervisor.
• Ensure parts and materials not used are returned, including warranty parts after the work is completed.
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition.
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures, follow local regulation especially disposal of hazardous waste.
• Report writing, schematic reading and machine repair skills.

At Volvo Construction Equipment you will be responsible for performing Volvo CE repair and maintenance work, both in workshops and at job sites, in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The incumbent is a front-line employee with direct customer contact and contributes to the dealer’s success. In addition to technical skills, people skills are important for effective customer relationship management and decision making.The incumbent must be able to work independently.
