Job summary

Volvo Construction Equipment in Kuantan is seeking a field workshop technician to perform repairs and maintenance on Volvo CE machines at workshops and job sites. You will work with safety-first practices and maintain records for time, parts and documentation, while engaging in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Higher Secondary/ STPM/ A Level/ Pre-U/Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
• At least two (2) years’ work experience in the related field.
• Obtain valid driving license.
• Able to read and write simple English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good work attitude, team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform Volvo CE repairs and maintenance in workshops and at job sites.
• Work safely and follow OJT safety practices.
• Complete all job cards and report/claim after each job.
• Maintain clean work area and equipment; proper records of time, parts and supplies.
• Participate in training and report additional work to supervisor.
• Ensure warranty parts are returned after work.

What you will do

At Volvo Construction Equipment you will be responsible for performing Volvo CE repair and maintenance work, both in workshops and at job sites, in accordance with dealer and factory standards. The incumbent is a front-line employee with direct customer contact and contributes to the dealer’s success. In addition to technical skills, people skills are important for effective customer relationship management and decision making.The incumbent must be able to work independently.

Main Tasks

• Perform all services and repairs on Volvo CE machines, in workshops and job site
• Work safely and user safe techniques and be responsible for OJT safety practices
• Complete all job cards, report and claim after each job
• Maintain clean work area and field vehicle, proper use and take care of workplace, tools, equipment at workshop and field
• Maintain proper job documentation, working records for time, parts, supplies and ensure records are kept properly
• Active participation in training
• Report additional work on machines and inform supervisor
• Ensure parts and materials not used are returned, including warranty parts after the work is completed
• Maintain personal appearance in a professional and neat condition
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures, follow local regulation especially disposal of hazardous waste
• Report writing, schematic reading and machine repair skills

Education/ Skills Required
