Job summary

UEM Sunrise is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide technical support and hands‑on maintenance for office facilities, equipment, and building services. This role covers preventive maintenance, repair coordination, and daily operational reliability.

You will perform general maintenance, upgrade works, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in building maintenance, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to read basic electrical and mechanical

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Maintenance or related technical field.

• Good hands‑on technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing & air‑conditioning.
• Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and hands‑on maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations of office facilities, equipment and common infrastructure.
• Assist in building maintenance and optimize maintenance costs.
• Carry out general maintenance of company premises, facilities and others.
• Implement maintenance programs within assigned buildings and observe maintenance needs.
• Work, upgrading and repair works.
• Conduct regular/scheduled maintenance and check reports for irregularities.
• Attend complaints and ensure defects are attended to within a specific timeframe.
• Monitor and supervise all works carried out by appointed contractors.
• Liaise effectively with tenants, third party contractors and local authorities.
• Adopt all relevant requirements around building permits, environmental regulations and safety on all work assignments.
• Reporting on project financial and physical progress and cash flow.
• Undertakes any other tasks as directed by the Management.

Job description

To provide technical support and hands‑on maintenance services to ensure smooth daily operations of office facilities, equipment, and common infrastructure. Responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of minor repair works under the Corporate Property Management (CPM) department’s scope.

Job Accountabilities

Assist in overall aspects of Building Maintenance including all facilities and M&E and optimize maintenance costs.

To carry out all general maintenance duties including up keeping of company premises, facilities and others.

Implement adequate Maintenance Programs within the assigned Building and general observation to the maintenance.

Work, upgrading and repair works.

Conduct regular/scheduled maintenance and check report for irregularities.

Attend complaints, check and ensure all defects are attended to within a specific timeframe.

Monitor and supervise all works carried out by appointed contractors.

Liaise effectively with tenants, third party contractors and local authorities.

Adopting all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations and safety on all work assignments.

Reporting on the projects financial and physical progress and cash flow.

Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Minimum Essential Qualifications & Technical Competencies

Formal Education

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Maintenance, or related technical fields.

Work Experience

At least 1–3 years of relevant working experience in building maintenance or technical operations. Experience in property development or office facility maintenance is an advantage.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

Good hands‑on technical and troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with tools, electrical systems, plumbing, and air‑conditioning systems.

Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.

Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
