Job summary

UEM Sunrise Berhad seeks a Building Maintenance professional to support and maintain office facilities, equipment, and common infrastructure. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate minor repairs under the CPM department.

You will assist with all general maintenance duties, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulations while coordinating with tenants and contractors.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Maintenance or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant maintenance/technical operations experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and hands‑on maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations of facilities, equipment and common infrastructure.
• Assist in building maintenance including M&E and optimize maintenance costs.
• Carry out general maintenance and upkeep of company premises and facilities.
• Implement maintenance programs within assigned buildings and monitor general conditions.
• Perform upgrades and repair works as required.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and report irregularities.
• Attend to complaints and ensure defects are addressed within set timeframes.
• Monitor and supervise work by appointed contractors.
• Liaise with tenants, contractors, and local authorities.

Job description

To provide technical support and hands‑on maintenance services to ensure smooth daily operations of office facilities, equipment, and common infrastructure. Responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination of minor repair works under the Corporate Property Management (CPM) department’s scope.

Job Accountabilities

Assist in overall aspects of Building Maintenance including all facilities and M&E and optimize maintenance costs.

To carry out all general maintenance duties including up keeping of company premises, facilities and others.

Implement adequate Maintenance Programs within the assigned Building and general observation to the maintenance.

Work, upgrading and repair works.

Conduct regular/scheduled maintenance and check report for irregularities.

Attend complaints, check and ensure all defects are attended to within a specific timeframe.

Monitor and supervise all works carried out by appointed contractors.

Liaise effectively with tenants, third party contractors and local authorities.

Adopting all relevant requirements around issues such as building permits, environmental regulations and safety on all work assignments.

Reporting on the projects financial and physical progress and cash flow.

Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Minimum Essential Qualifications & Technical Competencies

Formal Education

Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Maintenance, or related technical fields.

Work Experience

At least 1–3 years of relevant working experience in building maintenance or technical operations. Experience in property development or office facility maintenance is an advantage.

Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications

Good hands‑on technical and troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with tools, electrical systems, plumbing, and air‑conditioning systems.

Ability to read basic electrical and mechanical drawings.

Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
