Job summary

Hotayi Electronic (M) Sdn Bhd (Hotayi Group) in Malaysia is seeking an SMT Technician to program, troubleshoot and maintain SMT machines on the production line. The role focuses on using quality data to drive process improvements and yield gains, and includes supporting training on SMT equipment.

You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, rapid response to downtime, and adherence to safety policies, with opportunities to participate in NPI and equipment optimization.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot and maintain SMT machines.
• Use quality data to drive process improvements and yield gains.
• Support, develop and provide training on SMT equipment.
• Respond promptly to machine downtime, backlog and quality issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance for the SMT line.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per plans and manuals.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
• Follow ESD, safety and security policies.
• Run NPIs and troubleshoot component definitions and feeder assignments for first-time runs.
• Collect raw data and generate reports.
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Job description

• - Perform programming, trouble shooting, maintaining SMT machine.
• - Use quality data to make the process improvement and improve product yields
• - Support, develop and provide training on all aspects of SMT equipment machinery.
• - Responsive on the machine downtime, backlog, quality issue & other necessary according to the SMT line.
• - Responsible for the Preventive Maintenance for the respected line.
• - Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings.
• - Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• - Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required.
• - Capable of using measuring devices as required.
• - Perform area and equipment maintenance and clean-up as required.
• - Follow all established ESD, safety, ergonomic and security policies.
• - Run NPI (New Product Introduction) & trouble shoot component definitions, feeder assignments and other functions required to set up a first-time run on the placement equipment.
• - Responsible in raw data collection, complication & generate reports.
• - May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers and any other task assigned by superior from time to time.
• - Perform any ad hoc task.

Requirement:

• - At least Diploma in Mechanical/Engineering or equivalent
• - Min 1 year related experiences.
