Job Description:

• A day in the life of a technical writer includes crafting, editing, revising, and publishing technical product information similar to datasheets, specifications, design guides, application notes and user manuals.

Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting data to determine appropriate syntax, presentation style, voice and grammatical usage.

• Technical writers are also responsible for scheduling reviews, recording approval, and maintaining information architecture metadata.This position is an integral part of product development and customer support teams.

• Success in this position requires to ability to work closely with engineering, field-sales, and factory teams from around the world to identify gaps in existing content and propose solutions that enhance the value and accuracy of product documentation.

• The candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent writing skills combined with a technical background. Degreed engineers with excellent English skills and experience developing and maintaining documentation for factory processes or product support are encouraged to apply.

Experience:

• Min. 5 years' experience as a technical writer comfortable with planning, schedule negotiation, task management, publication, and post-release updates.

• Min. 5 years' experience of industry-standard authoring tools such as Microsoft* Office, DITA XML, and the Adobe* family of products, including FrameMaker.
