Job summary

Acquirax Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site installation, maintenance and repair of Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment across client sites in Malaysia.

You will diagnose issues, execute effective fixes, and maintain comprehensive service records. The role requires hands-on engineering ability, travel readiness to Ipoh and Penang, and strong communication to explain technical details to clients.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or similar technical field support role.
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities to resolve complex issues on semiconductor equipment.
Excellent communication skills enabling non-technical clients to understand technical information.
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang).
Physical capability for hands-on engineering work and lifting equipment as required.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site installation, maintenance, and repair services for Semiconductor E.O.L. equipment.
Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance checks and servicing per schedules and protocols.
Document all work completed, including detailed service reports and maintenance records.
Communicate technical findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot critical equipment failures.
Maintain and manage field equipment and tools, ensuring they are in working order.
Collaborate with the technical team to identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
Provide technical guidance and support to clients on equipment operation and best practices.
Travel to various client sites across the region as required.

Requirement

Diploma or degree qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience working as a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) or in a similar technical field support role
Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues on E.O.L. Semiconductor equipment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical clients
Strong organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple service calls
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites (Ipoh and Penang)

Commitment to health and safety standards and adherence to compliance regulations
Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering quality support
Preferred: Relevant technical certifications or specialised training in specific Semiconductor equipment types
