Job summary

CMS Supplies Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to tackle electrical, programming and product troubleshooting for CMS’s advanced automated machine and robot systems. You will work closely with Sales, customers and manufacturers to ensure customers achieve optimum CMS product performance.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronics, 2–3 years’ experience, and proficiency in C#, Visual Basic, C++, ladder logic, and PLC programming.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master in Electrical/Electronics or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 2-3 years working experience in related field.
• Experience in machine design and motion control, robot control, PLC programming.
• Knowledge in electrical wiring drawings.
• Programming in C#, Visual Basic, C++ and ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot product related errors.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site support.
• Must be able to speak Mandarin; Japanese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical, programming and product troubleshooting for CMS products.
• Collaborate with Sales, customers and manufacturers to ensure optimum CMS product performance.
• Support handlers at customer sites and travel as required.
• Maintain project documentation and technical reports.

As an Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical, programming and product troubleshooting for CMS’s product. You are required to work closely with the Sales team, customer and manufacturer to ensure the customer use CMS product with optimum performance.

Job detail & reponsibilites

• A recognized Degree/Master in Electrical/Electronics orMechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years working experience in related field.
• Working experience in machine design and knowledge in motion control, Robot control and PLC programming will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in electrical wiring drawing.
• Programming knowledge in C#, Visualbasic, C++ and ladder logic programming.
• Troubleshoot product related error.
• Travel outstation to support handlers at customer side.
• Self starter and able to work independently.
• 2-3 years experience needed.
• Need to be able speak Mandarin to communicate with Taiwan, If able to speak Japanese will be more advantage.
