Jora Malaysia seeks an automation software engineer with a strong background in machine vision and robot programming to support design, development, and deployment at customer sites. You will verify and validation vision systems, develop software for automation interfaces, and ensure robust troubleshooting and maintenance across multiple locations.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and proficiency in C/C++/C#, along with knowledge of VisionPro, Halcon, or OpenCV.

Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, and TCP/IP
Conduct troubleshooting activities using debugging tools and techniques, including on-site debugging at manufacturing facilities and customer locations, to identify root causes, resolve technical issues, and ensure optimal system performance
Plan and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) for special manufacturing or automation processes

Monitor and follow up on pre-project activities and project development stages
Perform machine vision system verification, validation, and performance evaluation
Develop software architecture, process flows, and application code for automation systems, including but not limited to I/O interfaces, parameter setting interfaces, process flow interfaces, machine vision interfaces, and other related software modules
Develop and implement error handling, alarm notification, exception management, and system logging functions to facilitate efficient troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and system maintenance
Identify, report, and document technical issues, challenges, and project risks promptly
Proactively investigate root causes and develop practical solutions to resolve technical problems
Perform unit testing for individual software functions and modules
Verify functionality against defined design requirements and technical specifications
Utilize debugging tools and techniques to perform systematic code analysis, troubleshoot software issues, and identify the root causes of errors to ensure stable and reliable system performance
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Field of study is open and not restricted, provided candidates possess relevant technical knowledge and competencies
Minimum 1 year of working experience in the automation industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent planning, organization, and execution capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
This role involves extensive overseas travel and on-site work at customer locations.
Candidates must be flexible and willing to travel internationally, including to Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, China, the Philippines, South Korea, the United States, Mexico, Hungary, and other locations as required
Proficiency in C, C++, or C# programming languages
Vision experience; knowledge of VisionPro, Halcon, or OpenCV preferred
Robot programming experience; knowledge of Epson, ABB, TM Robot, or FANUC robotic system is preferred
