Job summary

Sika Kimia Sdn. Bhd. in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, seeks a Technical Support professional to assist the sales team with training, demos, and sample preparation.

The role supports the Technical Service Manager and engineers on technical matters and involves preparing demo kits and site demonstrations for applicators and contractors. Candidates should be able to work independently or in a team, read and write Bahasa Malaysia and English, and willing to travel as required.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent is required.
• Certificate of Competency from local public or private higher learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support by training, demos, tests and preparing samples as required by the commercial sales team.
• Support Technical Service Manager / Engineers / Executive and Target Market Managers on technical matters.
• Preparing samples and demo kits.
• Assist with product training, demos and tests at site with applicators / contractors.
• Arrange all tools and materials for TSD workspace and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain TSD equipment, ensure calibration and return items to storage after use.
• Adhere to EHS policy, report hazards and participate in EHS training.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

To provide technical support by carrying out training, demos, tests and preparing samples as required by the commercial sales team.

Main Tasks

• Support Technical Service Manager / Engineers / Executive and Target Market Managers on Technical Matters
• Preparing samples and demo kits
• Assist with product training, demos, tests at site with applicators / contractors

Product Samples and Packaging

• Ensure that all product samples are properly prepared as requested by the Target Market Managers, Regional Managers and Sales Managers or Sales Executives.

TSD Working Space

• Arrange all tools and materials.
• Ensure that signs / labels are properly displayed at workstation.
• Remove all old and unused materials.
• Ensure that TSD working area is clean and tidy and is a safe working environment.

Equipment

• Ensure TSD all equipment is maintained in clean and good condition and is calibrated.
• Record and label all equipment and ensure all equipment taken out of the factory is returned in good condition.

Safety

• To ensure EHS compliance as per Sika policy and EHS minimum requirements
• Reports any hazards immediately adhering to superior or EHS personnel
• Comply to Sika Life Saving Rule
• Participate in EHS related training

Others

• Any other tasks assigned from time to time

Security

• Maintain Sika information with appropriate secrecy and adhere to policies regarding confidential information

Limitations of Authority

• No purchase of equipment and / or materials without approval from HOD, GM & MoA

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent, or
• Certificate of Competency from local public or private higher institute of learning

Additional Information

• Computer skills include Word and Excel spreadsheet applications.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Able to travel when required, including travelling overseas; and
• Able to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia & English

No experience required as on-the-job training will be provided
