Job summary

Sungrow Malaysia is seeking an experienced service engineer to lead field service operations for solar PV and energy storage projects. You will oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs, while ensuring compliance with local WHS requirements and safety standards.

The role requires at least 3 years in solar PV service or renewable energy, with hands-on installation/commissioning experience, strong project management, and excellent written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of service experience in renewable energy or power electronics.
• Hands-on Solar PV experience for at least 2 years (installation and commissioning).

• Service management, process optimization, service offers and proposals.
• Conduct service sales work to meet yearly targets.
• Oversee field service from pre-commissioning to maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure on-site services comply with local WHS requirements.
• Plan and coordinate tasks; liaise with other divisions to complete jobs on time.
• Maintain records of service cases, spare parts, inventory, and service revenue/expenses.
• Organize and accompany customers on long-term cooperation and social activities.
• Communicate with management, sales, service partners, and customers to support business development.

• Planning and coordinating tasks as well as liaising with other divisions of the business to complete jobs in a timely manner.
• Keep a good record of the service cases, spare parts & unit inventory, consumption records, and service revenue & expenses.
• Organize, participate and accompany customers on long-term cooperation greeting and social activities.
• Communicate with the management, sales team, local service partners, and customers to support business development.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering-related courses.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in service in the renewable energy industry or power electronics industry.
• Hands-on Solar PV experience for at least 2 years (project installation and commissioning).
• High level of commitment and responsiveness.
• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
• Strong technical understanding of energy storage systems and PV Inverter.
• Project management skills in an international environment with stakeholders across the globe.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English. Chinese language is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer programs/software (Microsoft Office).
