Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Engineering Specialist to blend technical training, customer engagement, and hands-on field maintenance for solar PV systems. The role involves installation support, troubleshooting, and delivering knowledge to customers across Malaysia.

The successful candidate will travel regionally, participate in field assignments, and stay up-to-date with the latest solar PV technologies and energy storage solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia and overseas (to Singapore).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive training on inverter installation, operation and maintenance.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for Solar PV systems and on-site installation.
• Conduct RCA and prepare detailed technical reports for management and customers.
• Submit daily work reports in Excel and maintain service records and spare parts inventory.
• Engage with customers at conferences, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.

Industry: Renewable energy equipment manufacturing and wholesale trade industry

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM) & Saturday (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Working Arrangement: Fully onsite

Salary: RM3,500 – RM5,000 (based on experience & skills)

Key Responsibilities

Customer Training & Technical Enablement

Design and deliver comprehensive training programs on inverter installation, operation, and maintenance.

Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and user guides.

Conduct workshops, seminars, webinars, and hands-on customer training sessions.

Assess participants’ understanding and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes.

Continuously update training content to reflect new product enhancements and industry best practices.

Technical Service & Support

Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for Solar PV systems.

Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities.

Provide technical guidance and ongoing support to customers.

Ensure optimal system performance through effective diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.

Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving

Investigate technical failures and recurring faults.

Conduct site assessments and root cause analysis (RCA).

Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations for management and customers.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.

Documentation & Inventory Management

Prepare and submit technical documentation upon project completion.

Maintain accurate service records and spare parts inventory.

Ensure proper traceability and tracking of spare parts movement.

Submit daily work reports in Excel format to the reporting supervisor.

Industry Engagement

Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and B2B meetings.

Stay updated on emerging solar PV technologies, energy storage solutions, and industry innovations.

Who We’re Looking For?

Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Comfortable conducting both customer training and field maintenance activities.

Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia as required (e.g. Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor)

Occasional overseas travel, mainly to Singapore
