Job summary

CHEME ADVANCE SERVICES SDN BHD is seeking an enthusiastic engineer to support the sales team by understanding client requirements for wastewater projects, explaining process conditions and site constraints, and preparing proposed solution schemes with sizing and mass balances.

You will develop client-ready presentations, evaluate multiple treatment technologies, and create technical proposals and datasheets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 3 years of working experience are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates from other engineering disciplines (Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, Process, Biochemical or Materials Engineering) are welcome to apply.
• Good understanding of engineering fundamentals: mass and energy balance, fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, or electrical and control fundamentals.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); able to build clear presentations and data analyses.
• Able to present technical information in a simple, clear way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willing to travel to client sites, pilot trial locations and project sites, and to do hands‑on fieldwork when required.
• Possess a valid driving license is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team in understanding client requirements, including process conditions, wastewater characteristics, discharge standards and site constraints.
• Prepare proposed solution schemes (treatment trains, process flow descriptions, indicative sizing and mass balances) following client meetings.
• Prepare technical and commercial-support documents such as technical proposals, datasheets, process descriptions and responses to client technical queries.
• Develop client-ready presentations for the sales team to present proposed solutions.
• Prepare objective comparisons between different treatment technologies and systems (performance, footprint, operating cost, maintenance, suitability for the application).
• Create sales tools such as brochures, case summaries, one-page technology highlights and FAQs.
• Monitor developments in water and wastewater treatment technologies and identify promising new technologies in the market.
• Plan, set up and run pilot units and trials to evaluate functionality, treatment efficiency and operating behaviour.
• Collect, record and analyse trial data (sampling, laboratory results, online instrument readings, chemical and energy consumption).
• Convert trial findings into technical reports and marketing materials that the sales team can use with clients.
• Conduct training sessions on new technologies and solutions for other departments within CMAS.
• Prepare training materials, presentation slides and reference guides.
• Assist project teams in testing, start‑up and commissioning of treatment systems.
• Support troubleshooting and performance verification, and provide technical feedback to improve future designs.

3. Research, development and pilot trials

4. Training and internal support

Conduct training sessions on new technologies and solutions for other departments within CMAS.

Prepare training materials, presentation slides and reference guides.

5. Testing and commissioning

Assist project teams in testing, start‑up and commissioning of treatment systems.

Support troubleshooting and performance verification, and provide technical feedback to improve future designs.
