We are seeking a Technical Program Engineer to join our team at COMPART SYSTEM SDN. BHD, Kulim, Kedah. In this role, you will lead technical programs involving the design, development, validation, and manufacturing execution of semiconductor gas delivery systems and components. You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure products are delivered according to technical, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements. This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong mechanical engineering background, semiconductor equipment exposure, and hands-on experience in product design and development who is ready to take ownership of technical programs from concept through production.
Lead technical programs for the design, development, and manufacturing execution of semiconductor gas delivery systems and components.
Manage engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, including concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and production release.
Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to optimize designs for performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability (DFM).
Perform tolerance analysis, material selection, and performance validation for components operating in high-purity and high-pressure environments.
Lead and participate in design reviews, risk assessments, FMEA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure designs and products comply with relevant semiconductor industry standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to provide technical updates, understand requirements, and resolve engineering challenges.
Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and design improvements for existing products and components.
Provide technical oversight and support the performance evaluation of engineering activities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Relevant experience in semiconductor equipment, gas delivery systems, gas panels, or precision engineering/manufacturing is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design, gas panel/system design, and gas handling components.
Experience in 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawing preparation.
Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and design.
Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Knowledge of gas flow dynamics, high-purity gas systems, and high-pressure applications would be an advantage.
Familiarity with FMEA, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and engineering problem-solving methodologies.
Strong project coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and internal technical teams.
