Qualifications

• Master's degree in Polymers, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related subjects.
• 5+ years of polymer application and product development experience.
• Strong understanding of polymer structure–processing–property relationships with hands-on formulation development.
• Excellent communication skills to diverse audiences (internal and external).
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of polymer property evaluation per Standards (ASTM/ISO/ANSI/UL).
• Experience with compounding recipes for engineering plastics (e.g., PC/PEEK/PP/COC).
• Familiarity with extrusion and molding processes.
• Deep understanding of TPU/TPE/TPV/TPEE properties.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, optimization, and commercialization of ESD/IDP polymer products and solutions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process technology, and QA to support scale-up and process improvements.
• Support product portfolio development and technology roadmaps to boost market competitiveness.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for key customers, providing high-quality technical support for ESD business.
• Translate customer requirements into product specifications for existing or new directions.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and successful delivery.
• Guide technology transfer and scale-up in manufacturing/operations.
• Manage customer trials, qualification activities, troubleshooting and commercialization projects.
• Support investigations of customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Job description

Lead the development, technical service and application development activities of ESD polymer products while serving as a key technical partner for TPU business growth across Southeast Asia. The position requires close collaboration with customers, sales, manufacturing, and global technology teams to drive innovation, solve customer challenges, accelerate commercialization, and support strategic business growth, with responsibility for ESD platform capacities enhancement and people development.

Key responsibilities

Lead the development, optimization, and commercialization of ESD/IDP polymer products and solutions

Partner with manufacturing and process technology teams to support scale-up, process optimization, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives

Support product portfolio development and technology roadmaps to strengthen market competitiveness

Serve as the primary technical interface for key customers, building strong relationships and providing high-quality technical support in ESD business

Work closely with customers to understand application requirements, identify technical challenges, and deliver material solutions

Lead customer trials, qualification activities, troubleshooting efforts, and commercialization projects

Support customer complaint investigation and implement corrective and preventive actions

Provide scientific and technical support to manufacturing/operations: technology transfer, scale-up, troubleshooting

Translate application requirements into product specifications of existing products or new direction for product development

Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure effective execution and successful project delivery

About you

Master degree and above in Polymers, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related subjects

5+ years of polymer application and product development working experience

In-depth understanding of polymer structure-processing-property relationship, hands‑on experience in product and compounding formulation development

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences (internal and external)

Fluency in oral and written English

Well versed in polymer property evaluation including physical, mechanical and electrical properties based on Standards such as ASTM, ISO, ANSI, UL and others

Compounding product recipe experience on various engineering plastic, including PC/PEEK/PP/COC (preferred)

Familiar with extrusion/molding process (preferred)

Deep understanding of thermoplastic elastomer property, including TPU, TPE, TPV, TPEE (preferred)
