Job summary

Qinetics Solutions Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Technical Manager for IT Infrastructure & Security to lead and optimize our IT environment, driving reliability, security, and performance across platforms.

You will oversee Microsoft 365, cloud services, servers, networks, endpoints, and security controls; manage projects, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement initiatives; and mentor a technical team while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity.
• 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, server infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in project management, vendor management, and IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives aligned with business needs.
• Manage IT infrastructure including Microsoft 365, cloud services, servers, networks, and security solutions.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, controls, incident response, and compliance requirements.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, business continuity readiness, backups, and infrastructure improvements.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager, IT Infrastructure & Security to lead and manage our IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technical operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the organization's IT environment, overseeing technology projects, managing infrastructure and security initiatives, supporting compliance requirements, and driving continuous improvement across IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute IT infrastructure and cybersecurity initiatives aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, cloud services, servers, networks, endpoints, and security solutions.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, security controls, incident response, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
• Lead disaster recovery planning, business continuity readiness, backup management, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Manage technology projects and vendor relationships, ensuring timely and successful delivery of initiatives.
• Maintain IT policies, procedures, documentation, and support audit, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop technical team members through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues, critical incidents, and stakeholder support requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers to ensure effective service delivery, including VIP user support and technical presales activities where required.

About you

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, or cybersecurity.
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, server infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience in project management, vendor management, and IT service delivery.
