Maybank is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager in Kuala Lumpur to lead end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including servers, networks, data centers, and cloud services. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
The role requires strong stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and experience with ITIL, PMP, and modern project management practices. Occasional after-hours work may be needed to meet deadlines.
The Technical Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing infrastructure projects from initiation through to successful delivery. This role involves planning, executing, and overseeing projects that focus on the implementation and enhancement of IT infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, data centers, and cloud services. The Technical Infrastructure Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
o Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
o Coordinate and manage project resources, including internal teams and external vendors.
o Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Stakeholder Management:
o Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
o Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or changes.
o Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops as needed.
o Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
o Monitor and manage project risks, including addressing issues that arise and ensuring that project goals are achieved.
4. Quality Assurance:
o Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and adhere to best practices.
o Conduct regular project reviews and assessments to ensure project objectives are being met.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
o Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
o Lead and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
o Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
7. Budget and Resource Management:
o Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and within approved limits.
o Allocate and manage resources effectively to meet project demands.
o Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management and infrastructure management.
o Stay current with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
May involve working outside regular business hours to meet project deadlines or address urgent issues.
