Power Logic (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a technically strong Technical Manager (Product & Engineering) to bridge engineering, sales, and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
Product & Technical Management
Manage the company's UPS, battery, AVR, and power protection product portfolio.
Evaluate new products, technologies, and solutions before market introduction.
Review technical specifications, catalogues, manuals, and product documentation.
Analyse product performance and recommend continuous product improvements.
Act as the primary technical liaison with overseas manufacturers and suppliers.
Coordinate product quality issues, warranty claims, engineering changes, and technical enquiries.
Build strong working relationships with suppliers to improve product quality and technical support.
Conduct product evaluations and participate in factory visits when required.
Sales & Engineering Support
Provide technical support to the Sales Team during quotation, tender, and project implementation.
Review tender specifications and recommend suitable technical solutions.
Assist customers with product selection, system design, and technical consultation.
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
Quality & Warranty Management
Manage warranty cases and investigate product failures.
Work with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support QA/QC initiatives and continuously improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Product Training & Technical Development
Conduct technical training for sales, service engineers, distributors, and customers.
Develop technical guides, product manuals, and internal knowledge‑sharing materials.
Stay updated on new technologies, industry trends, and competitor products.
Software & System Integration
Support UPS monitoring software, remote monitoring systems, SNMP, Modbus, TCP/IP communication, and system integration.
Evaluate software‑based monitoring and energy management solutions to enhance the company's product offerings.
Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve software and communication‑related technical issues.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Computer, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in UPS, critical power, data centres, electrical engineering, power protection systems, HVAC or M&E services.
Strong technical knowledge of UPS systems, batteries, electrical distribution, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Experience in product management, technical support, application engineering, pre‑sales, or project engineering is highly desirable.
Knowledge of QA/QC processes, warranty management, and supplier coordination.
Familiarity with CE, SIRIM, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), ISO, and relevant industry standards.
Knowledge of software, networking, UPS monitoring systems, SNMP, Modbus, TCP/IP communication, virtualization, IoT, or system integration is an added advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Mandarin‑speaker is preferred as this role requires regular communication with Mandarin‑speaking suppliers and manufacturers.
Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
