Job summary

T.A.G. Marine Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technical Executive to oversee maintenance and readiness of STS equipment at Kuala Linggi Port. The role includes monitoring PMS activities, spares, and coordinating mobilization and demobilization of STS gear, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

The candidate should have 2–3 years in technical or marine operations, a relevant diploma or degree, and strong communication and teamwork skills for site work and field tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in technical operations, marine operations or equipment maintenance.
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in marine engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Good knowledge and experience in PMS, maintenance activities and technical documentation.
• Experience with STS equipment, such as pneumatic fenders and cargo hoses, is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of equipment inspection, testing, certification and maintenance requirements.
• Good communication, coordination and reporting skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, including outdoor and field activities.
• Good awareness of safety requirements, PPE and toolbox talk practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and readiness of STS equipment in accordance with company, industry and charterer requirements.
• Carry out and monitor maintenance, repair, inspection, testing, certification and PMS activities for STS equipment.
• Monitor spare parts and ensure the required minimum stock level is maintained.
• Coordinate and monitor the mobilization and demobilization of STS equipment, including proper time-log recording.
• Monitor daily maintenance and repair activities and prepare the required reports.
• Provide technical support during STS operations, field work, surveys, inspections and testing.
• Coordinate with relevant departments, survey companies and maritime authorities for STS equipment requirements and certification.
• Ensure safe working practices, conduct toolbox talks and provide guidance to Shore Gang personnel.
• Maintain proper records and documentation related to STS equipment, maintenance and operations.
• Perform other duties, projects and activities as assigned by the superior.
• Supervise and guide Technical Assistants (Shore Gang), provide clear work instructions, monitor work progress and ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.

Job description

1) Basic understanding of:

a- STS equipment operation, maintenance and safety requirements.

b- Relevant IMO, ISM and company requirements related to STS operations.

c- Equipment inspection, testing, servicing and certification processes.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals, drawings and equipment specifications.

Basic troubleshooting skills for STS equipment and maintenance-related issues.

Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment documentation and reports.

Good communication and coordination skills with Shore Gang, vessel crew, contractors and service providers.

Safety-conscious and able to follow PPE, toolbox talk and safe working procedures.
