Job summary

Sciente Group is seeking a Technical Architect in Malaysia to bridge high‑level architectural strategy with hands‑on execution for enterprise accounts. You will lead technical engagements, ensure platform adoption, and drive business transformation to extend Sciente’s regional footprint.

You will align with enterprise clients, manage architectural strategy, and provide guidance on platform architecture, security, and governance while mentoring local engineers and collaborating with client teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in client-facing technical roles such as technical consultant or solutions architect.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Experience in pre-sales architecture and post-sales delivery.
• Hands-on Linux system administration and networking knowledge.

About the Role

As a Technical Architect at Sciente, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, bridging the gap between high-level architectural strategy and hands‑on execution for our strategic clients in Malaysia. Supporting a select portfolio of enterprise accounts, you will combine deep technical mastery with executive presence—equally confident presenting technology roadmaps to client CTOs in the boardroom as you are working alongside client engineers and administrators in the command line.

You will lead technical engagements, ensure successful platform adoption, and drive business transformation to support Sciente’s expanding footprint in the region.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Strategic Client Alignment: Partner closely with enterprise clients and internal account teams to map out short- and long‑term technical priorities, establishing structured engagement plans aligned with business goals.
• Technical Relationship Management: Serve as the central focal point for account architecture, technical strategy, and client environment context.
• Hands‑on Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and operational execution across key domain areas, including:
• Platform architecture, deployment, and infrastructure optimization
• Platform operations, maintenance, and seamless upgrades
• Security, identity management, compute allocation, and governance best practices
• Enterprise ML‑Ops, performance monitoring, and scalability strategies
• System Integration & Troubleshooting: Guide clients in seamlessly integrating enterprise platforms into their existing tech stacks and proactively resolve complex technical challenges.
• Delivery & Governance: Manage technical milestones alongside Client Success leads, contribute directly to technical deliverables, provide regular status updates, and proactively mitigate account risks.
• Advocate & Advisor: Capture client insights and feature requirements to influence product and delivery teams while advising client leadership on complementary technologies and future‑proof architectures.
• Advanced Technology Exploration: Support cutting‑edge use cases, including edge computing, deep learning, enterprise AI/MLOps, and advanced cloud native architecture.
• Knowledge Sharing: Mentor team members and enhance local engineering practices through documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical enablement.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Experience: 3+ years in client‑facing technical roles (e.g., Technical Consultant, Solutions Architect, Enterprise Customer Success Engineer, or Technical Account Manager).
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English.
• Engagement Expertise: Proven track record supporting both pre‑sales solutions architecture and post‑sales implementation/delivery.
• Infrastructure & Linux: Strong hands‑on proficiency in Linux system administration, including network configuration and troubleshooting
