Job summary

EY in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive the digital roadmap of our tax software solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams, define architecture, and collaborate with stakeholders to modernise data platforms and deliver enterprise-scale tax technology.

The role focuses on backend .NET Core/.NET 8+, frontend React/Angular/Next.js, and cloud-native designs, with governance, DevSecOps, and API integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core / .NET 8+ development.
• 3+ years of experience in solution architecture and leading technical teams.
• Experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications and cloud-native solutions.
• Experience in leading enterprise digital transformation or platform modernization projects.
• Familiarity with finance and/or tax systems and ERPs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with data integration, API design, and cloud-native architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of enterprise-grade digital solutions using modern frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Define architecture standards, solution blueprints, and technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable solution designs.
• Provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle, ensuring adoption of architecture best practices and governance, overseeing DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code quality initiatives.
• Design integration strategies, APIs, and cloud-native architectures to support complex business ecosystems.
• Act as a key technical advisor, supporting digital strategy for our tax business and transformation journey for our business and our clients.
• Contribute to talent development and technical capability.
