Job summary

Teleport, Southeast Asia’s leading integrated logistics provider, seeks an senior software engineer/lead with 7-10 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers across a data-driven tech stack including GCP, Pub/Sub, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL/AlloyDB, and Pulsar.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Lead engineer/technical lead with end-to-end delivery ownership.
• Expert in Java, Spring Boot and Spring Webflux.
• Experience with data contracts and asynchronous pipelines using Pub/Sub, Kafka, MongoDB, PostgreSQL/AlloyDB; Pulsar is a plus.
• Frontend familiarity with React, Next.js, Vite PWA, or Flutter.

Your day will be varied, often crossing functions, but most of your time will focus on delivering results, owning your scope end-to-end, making fast, data-informed decisions, and following through on fundamentals like reporting, documentation, and processes. Most of your time will be spent driving impact through:

• You will lead the engineering efforts — focusing on translating technical architecture into reliable sprint plans, ensuring system predictability, and mentoring engineers to drive end-to-end delivery ownership.
• Lead planning and delivery execution by breaking down epics & architecture design into actionable sprint goals and actively resolving blockers.
• Review, refine, and challenge architectural designs to ensure they are scalable, buildable, and aligned with the core technical domain.
• Own and elevate code review standards across the team, balancing high quality and turnaround speed to enable rapid deployment without over‑engineering.
• Drive continuous process improvements across CI/CD maturity, sprint predictability, incident response, and system observability.
• Mentor and coach engineers on technical craft and delivery ownership, supporting team growth as engineering capabilities scale.
• Coordinate closely with cross-functional and external service teams to align on integration dependencies and data contracts.

Technical Requirements

• Experience: 7-10 years in professional software engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical lead or lead engineer role.
• Core Stack: Strong, expert-level proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Webflux, with a proven track record of designing and scaling event-driven microservices.
• Messaging & Data: Practical experience managing data contracts and asynchronous pipelines utilizing Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL or AlloyDB. Apache Pulsar is a strong plus.
• Frontend Exposure: Sufficient familiarity with React, Next.js, Vite PWA, or Flutter to comfortably review code and unblock frontend delivery.
• Cloud Ecosystem: Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and deployment patterns, including Cloud Run. Tencent Cloud or China-market exposure is a plus.
• Track Record: Proven ability to improve sprint predictability, shorten code review turnaround, and reduce production incidents.
