Job summary

Teleport in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Operations Analyst to drive data-informed decisions across logistics. You will develop dashboards, analyze KPIs, and support performance reporting.

The role requires hands-on SQL, Looker, and the ability to translate complex data into clear leadership reports. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1-2 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Statistics or related quantitative field.
• 1-2 years hands-on experience in operations analysis, logistics, or performance management preferred.
• Proficiency in writing SQL and building Looker dashboards.
• Strong analytic, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities for leadership.

• Root Cause Analysis: investigate failures and bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Performance Reporting: track and analyze daily KPIs and create dashboards for leaders.
• Resource Planning & Forecasting: analyze volumes to forecast manpower and optimize allocation.
• Dashboard Development: design and maintain Looker dashboards for real-time insights.
• Data Management: write and optimize SQL queries across multiple databases.
• Process Improvement: work with teams to drive data-informed improvements.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate operational failures, delays, and process bottlenecks; conduct root-cause analyses to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective action plans
• Performance Reporting: Compile, track, and analyze daily operational KPIs, producing concise reports and visual dashboards to share performance metrics with market leaders
• Resource Planning & Forecasting: Analyze package handling volume and operational workflows to plan, forecast, and optimize manpower support and resource allocation
• Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive Looker dashboards to track real-time operational efficiency and performance trends
• Data Management: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple operational databases for regular and ad-hoc analysis
• Process Improvement: Collaborate cross-functionally with ground operations and market leadership to drive data-informed process improvements

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Systems, Logistics, etc.), Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply!
• Experience: 1-2 years of hands-on experience in operations analysis, logistics, or performance management is preferred
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in writing SQL to query and manipulate large databases. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain Looker dashboards
• Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical capabilities with a structured approach to problem-solving. Clear communication skills with the ability to summarize complex data into clear reports for leadership. High level of initiative and ability to manage daily operational deliverables independently
