Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang is looking for a seasoned Retail Store Leader to drive sales and oversee day-to-day operations. You will guide a team, set targets, coach staff, and ensure outstanding customer service across stores.

You will coordinate stock, promotions, and visual merchandising while maintaining SOPs and preparing for store openings or renovations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the retail team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
• Monitor daily sales performance and take action to improve results.
• Set clear sales targets, KPIs and individual staff goals.
• Motivate, coach and develop team members to improve their sales and customer service skills.
• Ensure excellent customer service and shopping experience at all times.
• Manage staff schedules, duty rosters, attendance, leave and manpower planning.
• Ensure stores maintain proper visual merchandising, product display and brand standards.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate stock replenishment and transfers.
• Minimise stock discrepancies, damages, shortages and slow-moving items.
• Ensure all stores follow company SOPs, policies and procedures.
• Monitor promotions and ensure all promotional activities are properly implemented.
• Analyze sales reports and provide weekly/monthly performance updates to management.
• Identify underperforming stores or staff and develop action plans to improve performance.
• Handle staff issues, customer complaints and operational problems professionally.
• Support new store openings, renovations and store projects when required.
• Conduct regular team meetings and communicate company updates clearly.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and training of retail staff.
• Build a positive, disciplined and high-performance team culture.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity and retail operations.
