The role focuses on deepening students’ understanding of Islamic teachings and values while supporting their academic progress within the IB PYP and MYP frameworks. Fluency in English and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of teaching Islamic Studies at IB PYP/MYP levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or certificate in Islamic Studies preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Develop teaching materials to support curriculum delivery.
• Implement engaging instructional activities for meaningful learning.
• Identify and modify resources for diverse learners.
• Assist in assessing curricular needs and suggest improvements.
• Monitor progress and ensure appropriate learning outcomes.
• Communicate with students, parents, and stakeholders regularly.

The role involves deepening students’ depth of knowledge in Islamic teachings and values while supporting their academic progress and personal growth.

Job Description

• Develop teaching materials to support curriculum delivery.
• Implement instructional activities where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
• Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.
• Assist students in assessing changing curricular needs and recommend improvements.
• Monitor student progress and ensure learning outcomes are appropriate for students’ age group, subject area, and/or programme classification.
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities, including counselling of students, marking of Placement/Readiness assessments and promotion/marketing events of the school.
• Perform administrative duties relating to subjects taught e.g. record class attendance, record student attendance in co/extra-curricular activities, invigilation of examinations, etc.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies at the International Baccalaureate PYP and MYP levels.
• A Degree in Education and/or a certificate in Islamic Studies is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Coordination skills to assist students’ personal development and understanding.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
