Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons across designated subject areas in accordance with the school curriculum and educational standards
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development and growth
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and academic performance
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, achievements and areas for improvement
• Participate in curriculum development, review and enhancement initiatives
• Supervise and mentor students both within and outside the classroom setting
• Contribute to school events, activities and extracurricular programmes
• Adhere to school policies, codes of conduct and safeguarding requirements
• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives

What we're looking for

• Specialized subjects in Mandarin, Malay, Maths, Science & Global Perspectives
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject discipline, with recognised teaching qualifications or certification
• Proven teaching experience at primary or secondary level, ideally within an international or progressive school environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents and colleagues
• Ability to create dynamic, interactive and inclusive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
• Proficiency in integrating technology and modern teaching methodologies into classroom practice
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• Strong commitment to student welfare, safeguarding and duty of care
• Flexibility and adaptability in a collaborative school environment
• Preferably, experience with international curriculum frameworks or experience teaching in multicultural settings
