Job summary

Pusat Jagaan Ceria Mesra in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to guide primary school students with homework and exercises. You will support lessons in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics and Science, while keeping a positive classroom atmosphere.

Fresh graduates are welcome; training will be provided. The role requires patience, reliability, and good communication and teamwork with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Guide and supervise primary school students with homework and exercises.

University students, fresh graduates and candidates without prior teaching experience are welcome to apply.

Previous experience in teaching, tuition, after-school care or working with children will be an added advantage.

• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Help students develop good study habits, responsibility and self-discipline.
• Observe students' learning progress, behaviour and daily well-being.
• Guide and encourage students with patience and appropriate discipline.
• Assist in preparing worksheets, learning materials and other teaching resources.
• Work closely with other teachers to ensure the smooth daily operation of the centre.
• Report any significant learning or behavioural concerns to the person in charge when necessary.
