Job summary

Pusat Jagaan Ceria Mesra in Klang is seeking teachers to guide primary school students through homework and exercises, delivering support in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics and Science.

The role emphasizes patient, responsible teaching, good attendance, and collaboration with fellow teachers. Training and guidance will be provided; fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification of SPM, STPM, UEC or equivalent.
• University students, fresh graduates and candidates without prior teaching experience are welcome to apply.
• Previous experience in teaching, tuition, after-school care or working with children will be an added advantage.
• Enjoy working with primary school children and have a genuine interest in education.
• Patient, responsible and committed to assigned duties.
• Punctual, reliable and able to maintain good attendance.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to guide students patiently while maintaining appropriate classroom discipline.
• Basic understanding of primary school subjects and willingness to improve teaching skills.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia; basic English communication skills are required.
• Willing to receive guidance, accept feedback and continuously learn.
• Able to commit to the centre's working hours and daily arrangements.
• Teaching experience is an advantage but not compulsory. Guidance and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Guide and supervise primary school students in completing their school homework and exercises.
• Check students' work for completeness, accuracy and neatness.
• Provide appropriate explanations and learning support according to each student's level.
• Assist in teaching primary school subjects, including Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics and Science.
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Help students develop good study habits, responsibility and self-discipline.
• Observe students' learning progress, behaviour and daily well-being.
• Guide and encourage students with patience and appropriate discipline.
• Assist in preparing worksheets, learning materials and other teaching resources.
• Work closely with other teachers to ensure the smooth daily operation of the centre.
• Report any significant learning or behavioural concerns to the person in charge when necessary.
• We believe a teacher's role goes beyond helping students complete their homework — it is also about guiding them to develop positive learning habits, confidence and responsibility.
