Job summary

FWD Insurance in Kuala Lumpur seeks a seasoned Tax Lead to oversee local tax reporting, regulatory compliance and IFRS17 ledger accuracy. You will coordinate annual tax computations, support audits, and drive governance improvements within the Group Tax framework.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, 10+ years in insurance or tax advisory, and strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent required.
• Minimum 10 years of related experience in insurance/takaful or tax advisory/big four.
• Strong knowledge of tax regulations and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead local statutory and tax reporting and respond to stakeholder queries.
• Coordinate annual tax computation for Hold Co and subsidiaries.
• Support annual audits by internal and external auditors.
• Ensure GL reconciliation for tax and indirect tax accuracy.
• Drive process improvements in tax reporting and governance.
