Job summary

FWD Takaful Berhad in Malaysia seeks an accounting professional to support group and local statutory reporting, balance sheets, and tax computations. You will contribute to the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports and assist in regulatory submissions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 3–5 years in takaful/insurance accounting or external audit, and strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS (IFRS 17 & 9 preferred). Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or recognised qualification (mandatory).
• 3–5 years in takaful/insurance accounting or external auditing in financial institutions.
• Solid knowledge of MFRS/IFRS with IFRS 17 & IFRS 9 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual group and local statutory reporting.
• Support balance sheets reconciliation and intercompany recharges.
• Help with tax computations and regulatory reporting forms.
• Maintain SOPs and knowledge base for the team.
