Jora Malaysia seeks an automotive technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair works on tanker trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. You will inspect engine, braking, suspension, gearbox, and air systems, and conduct component inspections for PTOs, pumps, valves, and safety fittings.
The role includes welding and fabrication, daily checks, breakdown attendance, and maintaining accurate service records.

Perform preventive maintenance and repair works on tanker trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
Repair and service engine systems, braking systems, suspension, gearbox, and air systems.
Conduct inspection on tanker components including PTO, pump, valves, pipelines, manhole covers, and safety fittings.
Carry out welding, fabrication, and minor body repair when required.
Ensure all repairs are completed according to safety standards and workshop procedures.
Perform daily checks and testing after maintenance or repair works.
Attend to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repair works when necessary.
Maintain proper maintenance records, service reports, and spare part usage documentation.
Ensure workshop tools and equipment are maintained in good condition.
Practice good housekeeping and comply with all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce vehicle downtime and maintenance costs.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum certificate or diploma in Automotive / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in heavy vehicle or tanker maintenance.
Knowledge in diesel engines, tanker systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Able to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
Welding and fabrication skills are an advantage.
Possess valid driving license (GDL is an added advantage).
Able to work independently and under minimum supervision.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Willing to work overtime or attend breakdowns when required.
Working Conditions
Based in workshop and operational sites.
Exposure to workshop environment, heavy machinery, and outdoor conditions.
May require standby support during emergencies or breakdown cases.
