Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus (M) Tebrau, Johor Bahru is seeking a skilled vehicle technician to perform diagnostics, service and repair tasks on trucks up to 3.5T and related systems. You will diagnose faults, carry out maintenance, and implement modifications as required.

The role involves ECU coding, electrical and hydraulic testing, documentation, and ensuring quality workmanship in a busy workshop while adhering to safety standards. Shift rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• Attend training and stay updated with latest technical information.
• Comply with health and safety practice, statutory requirements and policies.
• License: D, E and GDL preferable.
• Willing to work at MAN Truck & Bus Tebrau, Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities

• Perform monologue reception (vehicle inspected in the absence of the customer).
• Maintenance - provide repair, maintenance, inspection and assembly work.
• Documentation - record productive activities as needed.
• Prepare vehicle for hand back, including cleaning.
• Maintain workspace and tools and report losses or damages.
• Notify workshop manager if repair needs extension.

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnostic-Perform fault diagnostic followed by repair.
• Maintenance-Perform service and maintenance tasks and any tests that may be required by law.

• ECU Coding
• Perform service and repair all systems within a vehicle up to 3.5T include engine, exhaust system, air conditioning and electronics.
• Solving complex faults using ODIS (Off-board Diagnostic Information System) on TGE.
• Carry out electrical and electronic diagnosis using measuring box VAS 6356.
• Access and retrieve information from MAN erWin Portal for service and repair information.
• Perform repair work on hydraulic brake system.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform monologue reception (vehicle inspected in the absence of the customer).
• Maintenance - Provide work performance (repair work, maintenance, inspection, assembly, etc.).
• Documentation - Record the productive activities (if necessary)
• Prepare the vehicle for hand back, including cleaning.
• Clean the workplace, protect and maintain all tools and equipment by only using them in the prescribed manner and returning them to their place of storage immediately after use.
• Immediately report any loss, shortage, damage or malfunction of tools and equipment or if any additional tools or equipment are required to complete the repair.
• If there is a repair extension, notify the workshop manager/foreman for further clarification/approval.

Job Requirements

• Attend training and keep updated with the latest technical information which is circulated or displayed.
• Comply with good health and safety practice, all statutory requirements, company policies and standard procedures.
• Have D, E and GDL License is preferable.
• Willing to work at MAN Truck & Bus (M) Tebrau, Johor Bahru.
• Willing to work on shift-rotation basis (if required).
