Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Takaful Consultant role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Takaful Consultant is responsible for engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their protection and financial needs and to recommend suitable family takaful solutions. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and networking, conducting consultations, explaining takaful products and benefits, and assisting customers through the enrollment and servicing process. The role involves maintaining accurate customer records, following up on leads, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Takaful Consultant also participates in training, sales meetings, and community or corporate events to build relationships and enhance product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong customer relationship and communication skills, including the ability to explain financial and takaful concepts clearly and empathetically.
• Sales, negotiation, and networking capabilities, with a proven interest in achieving targets and building long-term client portfolios.
• Basic financial literacy and understanding of insurance or takaful products; prior experience in financial services, bancassurance, or insurance is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good time management, self-motivation, and resilience in a performance-driven environment.
• Proficiency in relevant digital tools and CRM systems; comfortable using online platforms for presentations, lead management, and customer servicing.
• Minimum diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language proficiency is beneficial for engaging diverse customer groups.
