Job summary

Tentacle Tech in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Systems Analyst to support cards and payments platform systems in an onsite role. You will ensure accurate implementation of changes, reliable integrated systems, and compliant configuration and release activities.

The role emphasizes extensive experience in financial services, Linux-based environments, and strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential for timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Systems Analyst in financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of cards/payments platforms and processing.
• Linux (RHEL), command-line, and shell scripting proficiency.
• Basic networking knowledge and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements and impact assessment across upstream and downstream applications.
• Configure and validate application parameters across SIT, UAT, DR, and Production.
• Support deployment verification, post-implementation validation, and configuration impact analysis.
• Analyse and troubleshoot configuration issues across integrated systems and interfaces.
• Review logs and configuration for incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Coordinate configuration changes with Development, Infrastructure, Middleware, Database, and Vendor teams.
• Support release management activities including migration, environment comparison, and documentation.

We are looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to join a high-impact engagement within the financial services sector, supporting critical cards and payments platform systems. In this onsite role, you will play a key part in ensuring application changes are implemented accurately, integrated systems function reliably, and configuration and release activities comply with organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform requirements and impact assessment across upstream and downstream applications
• Configure and validate application parameters across SIT, UAT, DR, and Production environments
• Support deployment verification, post-implementation validation, and configuration impact analysis for changes and releases
• Analyse and troubleshoot configuration-related issues across integrated systems, including interface endpoints, certificates, and connectivity settings
• Review application logs and configuration settings to support incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Coordinate configuration changes with Development, Infrastructure, Middleware, Database, and Vendor teams
• Support release management activities including configuration migration, environment comparison, and documentation

About you

• Minimum 8 years' experience as a Systems Analyst, preferably in financial services with cards or payments platform projects
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of cards and/or payment systems and processing
• Strong working skills in Linux (RHEL), command-line administration, and shell scripting
• Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, ports, firewall concepts) and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
