Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Planner to ensure stock availability and support customer demand. You will collaborate with sourcing units, suppliers, procurement, and logistics to balance service, cost, and working capital.

You will monitor inventory levels, consolidate supply plans, place purchase orders, and identify improvement opportunities to prevent overstock and obsolescence while maintaining strong service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply planning within FMCG/consumer goods.
• Ability to balance service levels with cost and working capital.
• Proven track record in inventory optimization and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with sourcing units to align supply plans with forecasts and orders.
• Consolidate supply plans and share with customer service teams.
• Prepare loss-tree analyses for non-supplied orders.
• Ensure product availability to meet customer demand and service targets.
• Place purchase orders with sourcing units and suppliers across regions.
• Monitor days-on-hand and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage slow-moving and obsolete stock (SLOB) and take action.
• Oversee SKU phase-in/phase-out management.
• Prevent overstock to control storage cost and obsolescence.

The role

In this role, you will be expected in ensuring stock availability to support business and customer demand. You will be collaborating with sourcing units, suppliers, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply operations. You are responsible in monitoring and optimizing inventory levels to balance service, cost, and working capital.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Liaise regularly with sourcing units to review supply plans against customer forecasts and orders.
• Consolidate supply plans from all sourcing units and sharing the same with the customer service teams.
• Prepare the loss-tree analysis for all the non-supplied orders.
• Ensure products are available to meet customer demand and maintain service levels.
• Responsible for Purchase order placement to sourcing units and suppliers in different region
• Monitor days-on-hand against target and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Manage slow-moving and obsolete stocks (SLOB) by highlighting slow and non-moving stocks to the business to generate appropriate actions.
• SKU Phase-in-Phase-out management
• Prevent overstock that increases storage cost, expiry risk, obsolescence, or working capital.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has experience in Supply planning and can operate confidently within the FMCG industry
• Brings strong skills in supply chain systems such as SAP and Kinaxis
• Brings experience in supply planning, innovation or new product development management, inventory optimization and process improvement experience
• Thinks end‑to‑end and takes ownerships for results
• Is comfortable working in a fast‑moving, evolving organisation
• Values collaboration, clarity and low‑ego ways of working
