Job summary

Edmund Optics in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant Manager to support daily operations across planning, purchasing, warehouse and logistics, ensuring materials and information flow smoothly to production.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Finance to maintain inventory accuracy, schedule shipments, and drive continuous improvement, while ensuring compliance with LMW, ISO standards and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, planning, purchasing, warehouse, logistics or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Support daily supply chain activities including purchasing, planning, warehouse, inventory control, and shipment coordination.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Customer Service and Logistics to ensure material availability and smooth production flow.
• Monitor supplier material shortages, delivery status, and production requirements to avoid delays.
• Review purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules; address overdue materials.
• Coordinate with warehouse team for receiving, storage, issuing, stock accuracy, and cycle counts.
• Assist in shipment planning to meet customer delivery requirements and revenue targets.
• Prepare supply chain reports such as shortage lists, inventory reports, and supplier performance.
• Lead or support continuous improvement projects related to material flow and process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with LMW, ISO standards, and internal controls.
